For literally as long as I can remember—since I was three years old—I've loved football. To me, it's not just a sport; it's practically a religious experience.

Football memory — A football fan for life.

I've never had money to throw around. Every game I've ever been to, every trip I've taken, came from pinching pennies, making sacrifices, and saving up just to be there. But through that grit, I've been blessed to experience some of the greatest moments this game has to offer.

I'm originally from Virginia but moved to Charlotte at 6 years old. I grew up a hardcore REDSKINS fan before Charlotte got the Panthers. Then I became a Panthers fan as well. In college I'm diehard FSU, Clemson, and Virginia Tech. To be honest, I just love football—NFL, College, Arena League, or Friday night lights. If there's a gridiron, I'm watching and wishing I could still play!

Pro Football Hall of Fame visit — Canton — Class of 2026, Luke Kuechly enshrinement.

As a proud Charlottean, one of the greatest honors of my fan life was traveling to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton for the Class of 2026 to watch our very own Luke Kuechly get enshrined. Luke is probably the best player we've ever had and seeing him take his place among the legends is truly a personal honor to be there in person.

My Football Journey

I didn't just fall in love with football from the bleachers—I lived it on the field.

High school football days — High school lights — a different kind of Rudy.

In high school, I was the smallest kid on the roster, maybe 110 lbs on a good day. Everyone says, "you must have been fast", but I was average at best. I could barely bench my body weight…lol. Everyone doubted me and said I couldn't play, but my best friends—the guys actually out there bleeding in the dirt with me. They knew better. I was basically a different version of Rudy, just trading the golden helmets of Notre Dame for high school lights.

Semi-pro football — Carolina Colts — played for the love of the game.

Years later, after growing into my frame, still small, but not tiny. I got another shot. Eight years out of high school, I laced 'em back up and played semi-pro ball for a couple of seasons for the Carolina Colts in Charlotte. We didn't get paid a dime—we played purely for the love of the game! It was hands-down the most electric, unforgettable time of my life! I actually started a playoff game and we won. I don't want to talk about the next week…lol

As a 54-year-old man today, I'd willingly trade years off my life just to strap on the pads, feel that adrenaline hit, and play one more game. Putting on a helmet and taking the field is, without a doubt, next to the love of my family, it's the single greatest feeling on God's green earth!

I built this platform for the real fan—the blue-collar faithful.

Blue-collar fandom — For the fans who pinch pennies just to be there.

This site isn't for the corporate crowd sitting in climate-controlled luxury suites, sipping wine and talking business while warriors are out there bleeding on the turf. That's not my kind of football fan.

It's built for the fans who pinch pennies just to buy a ticket or who cheer their heart out right from their own living room or sports bar. It's for the people who live and die by every single snap. The ones whose week is ruined by a brutal fumble or a blown referee call, and whose month is made by a clutch 4th quarter touchdown drive. The diehards who jump for joy or punch a pillow in rage over a draft pick that either cements the franchise's future or sets it back five years.

I got tired of logging onto traditional social media and getting bombarded with political debates, endless corporate ads, and pictures of what someone had for breakfast. Who cares!?!? On top of that, modern platforms are heavily policed by corporate guidelines where even harmless banter gets flagged or censored.

If you've ever put on pads at any level—from pop warner to the pros—you know that talking smack is in the very DNA of the game. Football culture is tough, hilarious, intense, and unfiltered. 4th & Social is the sanctuary built specifically to bring that authentic locker-room culture back to the fans—without the clutter, the constant commercial noise, or the political lectures.
